Is therapy or Counseling right for me?

Therapy and Counseling are terms that can often be interchangeable but, they are different. Thankfully, I can help provide support with both.

Therapy tends to be more focused on mental health conditions such as experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, etc. As well as work on thoughts or emotional patterns. Counseling can focus on specific issues that an individual is experiencing, such as issues at school or work. Having relationship or family issues, etc. The benefits of both therapy and counseling can be wonderful both for the person engaged in therapy/counseling and for those closest to them.

Some potential benefits of therapy/counseling can include (but is not limited to)

  • Improved self-esteem

  • Better communication skills

  • Better sleep

  • Feelings of empowerment

  • Fewer missed days from school or work

  • Improved relationships and interactions with other people

  • Development of skills for coping with daily life stress
